Lightspace Installation

Hey guys,

John from Lightspace emailed me back on Friday, sorry for the delay in getting this post up on the blog, but as you and I am well aware, life is absolutely crazy at the moment with end of semester crunch time!

Alrighty, here are the finer details to life.

I asked John if we can get an early start on Tuesday 8 June with the installation. The method behind the madness - - If we can get in nice and early, this gives us time to actually put our method to install to full test run mode, gives us time to do full prep, gives us time to organize where the images are going in terms of grouping the images and so on. And this will also give us safety time incase anything manages to rear its ugly head with a mishap to the installation. And lastly if everything pans out to plan, it give us a bit of time on Wednesday to destress, and go home to freshen up for the exhibition!

So, John will be meeting our team at 8am on Tuesday to open up the space and let us get to work.

We will collect the images from Tafe before going, and transport them in cars, as trying to get 60+ images across on public transport doesn't strike me as the best method. We don't want any images getting damaged during transportation.

To the people who have kindly volunteered to come across to Lightspace to help out - I don't want to drag you out of bed and at the location by 8am. So, have a little sleep in, and if you can make your way across for lets say 10am or at a time thats good for you but not too late... And we do appreciate that you are coming to help out!
Its pretty easy to get there.... for a map, log on to the Lightspace website copy the address, pop it into Google maps, and you're sorted. max 15min walk from the station in the Valley..
**My number is 0468 607 552 - If you get lost or anything pops up on the day and you need to contact me, drop a text or call**

If anyone has any questions, ask away !

  2. Hey Guys,

I did the shopping yesterday, yes, the morning of my birthday... It came before the presents!!

    Anyways,
    the food is bought,

we now have stuff for antipasto platters, such as... cheeses, dips, water crackers, olives, artichoke, sundried tomato, etc..
as well as basic chips, pringles, corn chips with salsa and sour cream etc..

Came in well under budget, from memory it only cost about $150?

I could be wrong, but I will count the money later on tonight and let the budgeting team know.

We may need to use some to get some platters (plastic) if we need them..

    Thanks guys,

    Katie Eves,
CATERING AND ENTERTAINMENT, AND BIRTHDAY GIRL.

  4. Hey Rob
just wondering if you guys got it all done today or if there's more to do tomorrow. If there is, I'd love to come and help. Just getting back from Melbourne tonight - didn't realise you were hitting it today.
