Program suggestion

Hey Guys,

Just a suggestion for the program , as a lot of people want to have their work up for sale, I think a cool little idea for the back page of the program would be to have a little box with some lines for people to write in?

With this I mean, there can be text above the box that simply says, “Artwork that caught my eye” or something along those lines – I’ll leave that up to the creative peeps... And then in the box, just some empty lines for people to write down the photographers name and the title of the work that they would be interested in purchasing...

Just an easy way to keep it simple and neat, and also, it could lead to future work if someone likes your style or anything like that....

Ben is setting up an email account that would be placed in the program to deal with any enquiries into a purchase of work...

  2. Rob, this is the sort of information that could be put in that book suggestion of Leungs that I told you about. It could also be used in conjuction with the programme. A book doesnt require a drop off box... or the drop off box could be the "hidden chest" I suggested in earlier weeks? Brett.

  3. Hey Brett,
I do appreciate all the input and ideas...
But my above suggestion really has no real relation to the Installation team, nor would the procurement of the comments styled book you expressed to us on Wednesday and the "hidden chest" you mentioned last week Wednesday, unless you would like us to physically install it...?

My above post was directed as a suggestion to the team that would be dealing with the Program and for the class to provide input towards the idea, on if that little section should or should not be included...

The comment book or "hidden chest" are nice ideas, but would that not be for the Curatorial team to assist with in its idea and creation?
    (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curator#Curator_responsibilities , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curatorial_platform)

I'm not sure if I am sitting on the right page here, and stand completely open to correction on this..
    But like a ;
Location team deals with the sourcing of the location.
Budget team deals with the budget.
    Branding/Graphic team deals with branding/graphics.
Curatorial team would deal with curatorial duties.
    Advertising team deals with advertising.
    Sponsorship team deals with sponsorship.
Catering/entertainment team deals with the catering/ entertainment.
Management team manages the teams as an overview.
And Installation would deal with installation, you could give us the inglorious description of the people who visit the location, look at the options to actually install whatever needs to be installed, install it, and hang the artwork..

We are completely open to any suggestions or ideas anyone might have to share on installation ? As someone might have a brilliant idea that might not have been thought up by us...

Just an update, we are awaiting reply from Lightspace on a time and day that we can go and speak to them about the options of hanging off the walls, also to just take a final measurement of the distance of the rail off the wall and the the correct hanging height(If we cant go forward with the option of hanging off the wall), and if we can go across on Tuesday to start with the process rather than Wednesday if they do not have anything going on in the space and agree to allow us to come in on Tuesday..

I can email the Curatorial team with details once I receive a reply, as we would like to have the Curatorial teams input and assistance in the organization with the image placement...

    Cool,

    Rob

  4. Hey Rob, yep your right on the money there with the job description, top marks. I suggest the book to You only for consideration as you may need to incorporate it into your layout plan. Cheers Brett.
