Photo submissions

Hey Guys,

In our meeting today we replied to all the images we've received so far. It's looking like alot of the photos will have a sentence or two displayed underneath to help communicate or clarify the message people are trying to convey (if it's not immediately clear), and some people want to display their names. We also came up with some ideas for displaying the images to help out the installation team - the supplied description/name could be covered with a piece of plain white paper (a small cutout flap) - that way people have to lift it to see the information. Keeps in line with the theme of secrets, makes it interesting and would be really easy and cheap.

Thanks,
Rebekka

  1. this is all fair and good during the submission process, but at the actually exhibition is the sentence necessary? it is a secret after all, perhaps some mystery is more intriguing for the viewer? That's my 2c

  3. Henry,
A few of the images we have received actually needed an explanation so we could see the secret element in the image.
I see where you are coming from, leaving the viewer guessing and wondering .
But we are only suggesting having a sentence explaining the photos for those who want to know what the image really means.

  4. Hey Guys,
Do we need to supply you with an explanation at the time of photo submission so as to have it printed out at the same time as the photo or is it something we will organise ourselves and put under our images on exhibition night?
